Rain Ledger treats a coffee shop as a public room, not only a beverage counter. The guide is small by design and separates verified facts from editorial judgment.

What is published now

The opening edition is a production preview built from official venue sources. Addresses, public hours, and location descriptions are included only where they were directly confirmed. The numbered index is explicitly provisional; it exists to test the editorial system before completed in-person reviews replace it.

The four measures

CoffeeProgram clarity, sourcing, roasting intent, and the seriousness with which the cup is presented.

SpaceArchitecture, acoustics, light, seating, and whether the room belongs to its geography.

HospitalityWelcome, pace, clarity, and the human quality of service. This remains provisional until a visit.

ReturnThe synthesis: whether the complete experience merits another trip rather than merely another order.

Independence

Rain Ledger does not accept payment for placement or publish anonymous crowd scores. A venue may correct a factual error but cannot buy a score, approval, or removal. Generic atmosphere images are clearly marked and never represented as photographs of a listed venue.

Corrections

Hours and operations change. Every profile carries a verification month and links back to the official venue source. The next editorial pass should re-check all six sources before the site receives a permanent domain.
